Based on empathy and love to poor people who live in hard life, Miftakhul Jannah Poor Orphans Reformatory is founded as a social institution that has orientation to distribute aids to poor people. The reformatory is founded in 1 October 2009 located in Kuwon Sidomulyo Bambanglipuro Bantul Yogyakarta Indonesia. Unfortunately, this institution has not yet a permanent place to operate its activities and we hope that we will have our own place someday. Islam seriously gives attention to life matters such as economic and education issues. Therefore, Islam suggests to all people to give their attention to such issues and make better changes. Islam views that willingness and real action to make a batter chance of life is a religious service when it is undertaken in the name of Allah SWT. It is based on Al Qur’an and Hadits that the one who live in abundance should give attention to poor people, particularly the orphans. The attempt to change economic poorness and lack of education becomes responsibility to all parties including poor people their own self. Weak parties have to do hard efforts to make a better change of their bad life situations, while strong parties who live in abundance should give real contribution to the weak. Islam calls this contribution as zakat, infaq, or sodakhoh. Relation mechanism of the rich and the poor can not work maximally when it runs naturally, so that third party is needed as a mediator. The mediator is fully responsible to assist the weak (poor orphans) in managing relief funds from the rich (the donors). The mediator has moral and administrative responsibility to undertake this mechanism. It also assists the poor to use the relied funds maximally to increase their life quality in the future.

Miftakhul Jannah Poor Orphans Reformatory serves as such moderator. This duty is undertaken based on integrity and candidness in the name of Allah SWT, in the form of helping each other (ta’awun). Though we have many limitations in our operations, “Insya Allah” these do not hinder our heartfelt intention to help the poor orphans. We can feel that the poor people and orphans should be helped. Therefore, we hope that Mister or Madam….. has pleasure to serve as donor for the poor orphans in our reformatory.
